Joy Division / New Order thread

So chuffed every time my daughter (29) gets in the car and puts New Order on, I know my job is done (and yes occasionally she'll put The Smiths on too lol)

I remember being in work and telling everyone to watch TOTP as New Order are on.
The comments on the Friday morning.....
"They just stood there and didn't move"

MES trying to one up you in this space would be utterly futile but I feel the need to do the chuffed father thing too. My 15 year old and his mates have been given a short set to finish the end of year school concert. They are currently arguing the toss about what makes the list but the last time I looked they had narrowed it down to 3 or 4 of the following

Disorder
Age of Consent
This Charming Man
Bigmouth
And Your Bird Can Sing
Sgt Pepper's
I am the Resurrection

He was born and has lived his entire life in Staffordshire but he knows where he really comes from :-) I may have messed up some aspects of parenting but not this!

Fair play to them in wanting to perform live. I loved it
I loved that performance too. Raw coarse very loud.
Brilliant.
Got a bootleg cassette tape too, from 84 I think ,Nottm Rock City (?)
Where BM is the opening track and it is absolutely brilliant, ..just after the track finishes ,in the interlude band me ber shouts to the crowd..." move back MOVE BACK!!" ...apparently the tv cameras were filming..
" There the ones with all the fucking money "
First bootleg I'd ever heard( apart from Futurama festival Leeds 1980)

Noticed this was a 4min edit for totp...whilst the track was released as
12" only everywhere..a part from Poland which for some reason ,it made it onto 7" single format..used to be quite scarce back in the day, certainly I never saw it anywhere.
Yes there would have been (I think i am correct in saying) a shorter version for radio play only too
