Agent moves him on to a club that plays a lot of young players and then is able to sell them for a vast profit. Sometimes the agent even colluded with said club to garner maximum profit.
England manager picks young player for an international game. Young player’s stock goes through the roof, makes him a more attractive purchase.
Player eventually gets a big contract from another club, agent and said club rub hands together and count the gazillions in profit.
England manager gets a retainer for the hard work of naming young player in squad.

Surprised no one has mentioned giving him a cap early so he cant play for an other country. He can qualify for another country (not sure which one) via his mum.
Same with Grealish..... Gives him 1 cap and no game time in the next 2 games to counter his threat to play for Rep of Ireland

Not sure that would have mattered last night as it wasnt a competitive game. Declan Rice for example has 3 senior Ireland caps.
