Jude Bellingham

I disagree. Look at Foden. Pep has been imploring him to learn to play with different rhythms and not be direct all the time for the past 3 years or so and there's still been no change from Foden so far hence why pep still cannot trust him to play midfield for city. Some players just have a tendency to be very direct and intense like Foden, KDB etc... From what I've seen bellingham is of that mould.

England right now does not have a modric or verratti who can dictate the game from start to finish which is what we desperately need. That's why Paul Scholes was THE english midfielder that pep singled out for praised amongst your gerrards and lampards because unlike them he had that ability to dictate tempo like your spanish and italian midfielders.
2nd this.

It is the nature it cannot be taught. I have no objections to buy Bellingham. But if he comes and if Pep insists on at least one attacking midfield with tempo sense, I would image Pep has decided that Foden future is winger. I cannot see a Foden Bellingham midfield with a lot of control. But I may be wrong...

I hope this is a city pump-fake and we're actually looking for more effective and cheaper solutions compared to bellingham. Personally, when I see bellingham I just don't feel he is a city-type player. On the other hand he would be perfect for a manager like klopp who likes a more industrious midfield that presses relentlessly. I don't think they have the money for him though hence why you're seeing them linked to mount nowadays who i'd say is of a similiar profile.

Listen to this from around 35 mins in. This prick refuses to even believe we are in for him because of Liverpool and Madrids history.

He'd have been around 20/21 when he played at the Etihad. He totally controlled the game that day & was simply majestic.

The players only had numbers on their shirts, so I didn't know who he was, but I noted his number & looked him up when I got home.

That's when I learned he was Kolo's younger brother & that work permit issues stopped him signing for Arsenal who promised to keep tabs on him, until Barça made their move.

He was always destined to end up at Arsenal one way or another. I'm just glad it's City who got the best out of him. He recently admitted that "Cakegate" was the biggest regret in his career, because it sullied his reputation at City & every time he's in Africa, people keep taking the piss out of him for it.

If not for that, I'm pretty sure he'd have a statute alongside Vinny, Silva & Aguero... Such a shame he blotted his copybook the way he did...

Up until cakegate he was up there as my favourite ever City player. Took us to a whole new level and didn't look back once we'd signed him.

I remember seeing him booting off in that Summer of 2014 and it being like a dagger to the heart. Stained his stay here from that very moment and his reputation never particularly recovered.

Still not sure why he did it. Was he after a move? A payrise? Comical really and made everybody talk about a birthday cake rather than a 20+ goal season full of important goals and moments. Idiot Seluk.

Liverpool fans cling to history out of fear. They know they can't compete with our war chest so they talk themselves into believing that history will prevail. It is nothing more than delusion.

Yeah crazy to think what Arsenal missed out on there. Funny thing was when he came to us he'd never really scored goals, but for us he did. That season he got 20 odd goals for us was one of the best seasons any midfielder has ever had for us.
Always remember reading 606 and trying to explain to deaf ears how we hadn’t just signed another defensive mid.
