Jude Bellingham

Maddison would be a decent alternative but again despite the contract issues Leicester still has some say in the matter.
Or both, in fact I’d be quite happy if most of signings were English this summer, Bellingham, Maddison, Chilwell, and if we are throwing a winger in, not sure we are then Saka.

Icl I've been pushing Bellingham prop but the more I see him the more I think he's worth less than 100mil

That wouldn't be a good transfer window to be honest.

You know, if we don't get Bellingham — and we have to envisage it — we could do worse than take a long, hard look at Maddison. In fact, I'm sure it's already being done.
And I am not placing Maddison on the same level as Bellingham, obviously. But he's a very handy midfielder. And Pep nearly always improves players, if they've got the potential to learn.

What will happen is we will buy Bellingham for 120m Liverpool will get Maderson on a free and we know where this will go with the media..

I feel like as more and more time has passed, we are seeing more and more options available.

So I'm not so bothered even if we don't get him, seems like he'd be to play in one of our 2 10's positions anyway as we just have our fullback tuck in next to the #6 (Rodri).

In that sense, I feel like we have many options to replace those who play there (Gundogan, Bernie, Kev) like Wirtz or Mac Allister to name 2.

This was a conversation with fans from various clubs back in the 90s. It's the first time I'd ever considered how other fans saw us & it was sobering.

We were bobbing up & down the divisions, but still referring to ourselves as equals to ManUre, Arsenal & the Dippers etc. However their fans saw us as the equivalent of a Norwich or Coventry et al. Everton were withdrawn from the comparison after 4 of them agreed the Toffees were a bigger club under Kendall than we were.

How City fans view Manchester City is totally different to how opposition fans view us. This is further evidenced by the way the 'Istree' clubs sneer at our recent achievements which they say are tainted, because we're an oil money club who cheat.

Another mate of of mine who's a home & away going season ticket (as it was back then) holder was miffed after a post match conversation with some QPR fans, who were lamenting the attitude of the big clubs, toward smaller clubs like City & them.

My mate was aghast that QPR thought our clubs were of a similar level, but again this is our perception of City vs those of others... \0/

Based on what? You're paying for his potential, what his ceiling could and should be. Not for the player he is right now. He's looked a little tired in these two England games, especially in the second half, but still produced moments of quality few are capable of replicating. If ever there's a 100 million player he's one of them.

I’m not saying he’s made his mind up already, but operation Jude to Liverpool is in full flow by ex-Liverpool players and football pundits.

It really wouldn’t surprise me if it was an orchestrated campaign led by LFC, using as many of their ex-players and pundits as possible.

Slippy G, slipping into that campaign today.

Liverpool need him more than we do. If he goes there it will be a good move for him as Klopp will build his team around him. Here he will just be another excellent player.

Same approach as van Dijk in trying to sign him. Whoever signs Bellingham has still got a job on to develop him further and so far his talent just doesn't quite match his valuation no matter hard you try to spin things.

He's improved every season at Dortmund and he's hardly been working with some of the best coaches in the game.

He is being pushed a little too hard at times (hence his fitness issues that will need attending to at some point). However his peformance vs Chelsea wasn't too clever and recent international games along with the world cup haven't been great either.
