They’ve got wages headroom having unloaded Thiago Silva. The fee effect is amortised over 5 yrs as you know & they did just get to a Champions League final so are as well placed as any to extract more than an equal share of revenues in the market.

What are those French sources ? I have only seen one source about that theme and it was The Telegraph. They said nothing about him joining in the next 48 hours.

I assume with the relaxation they could buy now and sell players in January or next summer to balance the books.
