You can't deny his wages have been a reason it has been hard to offload him. Not arguing whether he deserved a new contract or not, just that since the new contract his form has also been shite

We didn't know anything about Covid when we had given him a new deal

It was this season we had trouble in offloading him and with the lack of suitable targets we decided to give him one more go.
