Passed my idea's onto the brand and marketing department at City.

As we know City are looking at numerous ways of 'branding'(let's be honest here) the club around the world. To put it better, we want to be up there with the Real's, Milan's, Liverpool's, Barca's and another team who I can't remember. Obviously this will be achieved on the pitch, but off it as well. Anyway......(waffle, waffle)

Next year the sponsership and naming rights for the MEN are up for grabs.(Are you with me now? Has the penny dropped?) The current 5 year deal runs out in July. The MEN attracts a million visitors a year, not to mention the Coverage it get's in the media across the world and in the UK.

In a nutshell from the MEN ARENA to the MCFC ARENA. (I'm sure it would ruffle a few feather's across the city as well)

Anyone need a wannabe brand manager/ marketing manager.(arf!)

Can't see Etihad being interested. They're an expensive airline catering for fairly well off people, not chavs going to watch the latest X Factor tour or something.

I think the Arabs could be interested. They wouldn't sponsor the arena to try and get the arena punters to fly with Ethiad, it's the use of the sponsors name in reference to the arena that they'd want.

"so tonight at the Ethiad Arena is..."
"I'm off to the Ethiad Arena tonight..."
"They're playing in Manchester, at the Ethiad Arena"

not keen on the idea. The lowry tried calling their cinema "The Red Cinema" and all that did was stop mancunians going. We need to think smaller scale initialy, such as a hotel, casino, bar etc around the ground where we could entertain the real money men of the world similar to what happens at Monaco for their Grand Prix and not be reliant on none city fans to sell out
