It was irritating hell out of me every time the commentators claimed this was like 1999 in reverse. Bollocks ! In 1999 it was a one off final, united had been comprehensively outclassed and Bayern had hit the woodwork twice. United then spawned two lucky and undeserved goals right at the death to pick up the trophy.

Tonight, United were comprehensively outplayed by Bayern who got the win they deserved. Unfortunately United can, and probably will, turn it round at Old Trafford.

The two events are not remotely comparable.
