Just like The Old Days

My wife was sat on the steps up to the kippax in the 80's at half time . She wasn't feeling too good and some bloke came up to her and said don't worry love it can get much worse than this !!!! She kept reminding me how right he was for some years.

This thread is just a chance for people to show how much of a super & proper fan they are. I'm 31 & watched us through some of our most horrendous years & all the relegations but there is no way I can just say 'oh well we used to be worse' because we arnt that same football team anymore. We fight for trophy's now & for a team that is so good & rarely loses football matches home or away damn right me & a load of others are devastated we lost to Palace & Liecester on the spin. What should we all do just accept it & not show any emotion or voice opinions because we used to be worse?

I don't want to get in to an argument with you , we're both blues, but....

"devastated we lost to Palace & Liecester on the spin."

Devastated? I don't think you really mean that. Devastated is for tsunamis and your mam dying.

I'm pissed off and Pep needs to kick some arse but it's football after all, losing is part of the process, just not one we've been accustomed to of late.

I think we need to keep things in perspective here, otherwise we'll turn in to the rags, or worse the dippers.

I find it helps to keep this saying in mind when things don't work out at City...

Football is not important, but of all the things that are not important, it is the most important.

Drawing FA cup game against Shrewsbury in the pouring rain on a mud heap. Lost the replay too.

There is the potential for this thread to become a I'm A Massive (sic) Blue fest but I have to say that although I'm hugely disappointed in how things have turned for the worse over recent weeks I'm not devastated by it. Having seen us win the title at Newcastle in 1968 just before my 14th birthday but then waiting 44 years to see us do it again puts things into perspective.

If we don't win it this season then we go again next to see if we can then. We aren't tourist Reds who think we have a divine right to win it year after year, are we?
I was at Newcastle that glorious day. You are quite right....it's only a game. (Ducks)

Keeping the ball in the corner against Liverpool......relegated.

Rarely have I been as sad as I was that Thursday night on the seemingly never ending train journey back to Piccadilly as a boy but my lukewarm dislike of spurs for one night of sadness is massively outweighed by my visceral hatred of the self entitled, never their fault, living in the past, hypocritical scumbags who make up a sizeable minority if not a majority of the scousers support

I’d rather the rags win it than them.
But what a strike from Steve Mac.

My feelings exactly, really pissed off by our current displays but football is not the be all to end all in the great scheme of things.
