Just off to Brum to watch the wonderful Smokey Robinson

Just my soul responding was a classic, went under the radar.
Yes
Yes
And yes again.
Everyone will have a favourite protest song. This wouldn't even feature in the list but it is so emotional, so political and so brilliant.
He covers being black, the Vietnam war and the plight of the first nations.

'I'm on a reservation in a state of degradation '

'Too many roaches but not enough heat to keep my baby warm in this land I helped to form.'

I was singing that line

I was singing it on the way to the pub this evening.

Just a quick update on the show last night. Absolutely brilliant and for an 86 year old to give a performance of that quality with both dancing/moving/singing and audience participation just WOW.
Message to Messrs McCartney and co. Don`t do any more shows if you can`t compete with a bloke who has lost none of his singing talents.
Thank you Smokey.
The only downside was that Kiki Dee was making a guest performance and although a decent singer she has no charisma and even she`s older than oakie at a mere 78 years of age. ;)
