Thought he showed a lot of promise, couple of moments where he was welcomed to senior football shall we say, but for a 16 year old lad making his debut he did very well. Tactically he was in the right positions and he was very tidy in possession. Even had the confidence to try some passes through the lines and had a raid forward second half. Definitely one for the future!

Yeah 16 is so young, loads of time to fill out that lanky frame then he'll be a beast. Can't see him being shoved off the ball like tonight at 20!

If he knuckles down and acts on all the great and invaluable advice he gets on here he'll be a star.
It's sort of pointless to talk about him because he's so young. He's barely played for the U18s enough to be judged at that level.
Thought his body shape was wrong a few times and he wasn't where he needed to be on the pitch at times, leaving Stones to Grealish as the passing option because he was too far back. When he was in possession then he was OK, but panicked at that start but grew into it a bit.
He's not the next Maldini nor the next Mangala because hes 16 and that's so incredibly young that the player he will be in even 2 years will be very different.

I won't pretend to be an expert on our Academy, but I hadn't heard of Kaden before last night. It really shows how great the Academy is that a kid like him can slot in as well as he did - and it also suggests others could too, if they're given the opportunity. I thought his movement, positioning, control and passing were excellent.

I expect that due to his age we might not see him again for another year or two now possibly, nobody really knows. I thought more of his debut than that of Rico though, who I remember thinking was overly safe with his passing. He's obviously come on a mile since then, maybe others can too.

It must have been a hell of a buzz for the lad, playing for the first team at 16. Third youngest ever to do so, I believe. Who's the youngest; Glyn?

Did very well, looked very assured for his age. Glyn is definitely the youngest. As for the next I put forward Tommy Caton or Neil Lennon.
