Kalidou Koulibaly

We may need to thank the Arse for possibly closing this deal as it’s been reported they’ve moved up into pole position in signing Gabriel who is the defender Napoli are planning to replace KK with.

ADL probably now needs to move quickly & take what’s on the table so he doesn’t get guzumped for his target.

Far too much for a 29 y.o and in the current COVID environment. People will say it’s not your money, we can afford it and we need a CB, but that is crazy money. People said we paid over for Ake at 41M and I reckon we did a little too, but I can get my head around why the club did that because he’s 25, home grown and experienced in the PL, so we paid a slight premium for those factors. Also not sure Bournemouth has ever screwed us over with a transfer like Napoli did.

They did.

We had a deal done to sign Harry Arter. He’s agreed terms and had even been promised the number 8 shirt before we signed Gundogan.

Then something happened behind the scenes. Eddie Howe accused City of “bottling it”, Arter stayed where he was and we ended up with Gundog.

That’s where the bad blood started that spilled over when Raz celebrated his goal at the side of the pitch and their steward had a confrontation with Agüero.

Glad we were able to put it all behind us.

£60m is pushing it but not the worst of fee. Although he could be on the list of players who were better at Napoli than their big money move away. I just get the feeling we aren't that interested.

It's the price you pay for a ready to go CB. Pep has seemingly requested Koulibaily and no one else. Bit like how it was Maguire or bust last summer.

Also Napoli have never screwed us on a transfer, please stop pedaling nonsense. Jorginho was ours, we faffed about and didn't pay the price. Meanwhile Chelsea secured Sarri and rang ADL and paid the asking price. Simple.

60m is far better than the 90m they were holding out for. Can't be fleeced on these deals anymore.

It's a fine line on here between bullshitter and ITK. New people who claim to have inside information are distrusted whether it's correct or not. If you've been around for several years you tend to get worshipped, even if you never actually say anything that ends up being true. Some people don't need to say anything at all...

Like who?

Wasn’t aware of all that. Interesting stuff.

It might have been the price you “paid” but I don’t think it’s the price you “pay”. Also question whether it was ever the going rate for a 29 y.o central defender with zero experience in the PL. Clubs are skint in the current environment. It’s a ridiculous sum of money for these 3 reasons. But, that’s my opinion. Happy to be proven wrong if this does go through.
