Kalidou Koulibaly

Iv seen that two alot of sevilla fans say he is quality but rash, likes a foul thats the only thing that puts me off really

35 games 7 yellows in la liga
8 games 4 yellows in Europa league

Koundé got 6 in 29 and Fernando 13 in 34 and Navas 4 in 37

Yellows given out for fun in La Liga and record there doesn’t seem too bad.

Not saying he’s the solution but his Europa performance is the aberration rather than the full La Liga season for discipline.

He is inexperienced in relative terms though with this season only in Europe (which he won) and only this season in a “top” league & the 3 previous in France (although they did produce 50% of the Champs League semi-finalists this year).

how do you know all this stuff

Well it certainly seems that way, doesn't it?

We haven't been linked with any other players in other positions. The only concrete interest we seem to have is for Koulibaly.

I debated with another poster on here a few days ago when he criticised that the club had finished their transfer business and Koulibaly was unlikely to join due to the overall cost of the transfer, but i am starting to get a little bit frustrated. Things should be moving a lot quicker for us.

Otamendi should be gone by now, what is happening with Zinchenko? Are we even signing another left back?
Who is this forward we are supposedly interested in as a back up to Messi? We don't seem to be linked with anyone.

I hope Txiki can pull a rabbit out of the hat, but the longer this Koulibaly saga rolls on, the less confident i am of this window being a success.

This is a summer where two of our key players have left and a few of our best players are really starting to age, it is a pivotal transfer window for us and we must get it right. The squad just needs refreshening and energising.

He doesn't seem to back himself or have the cajones for me.

Garry Cook on the other hand had a more aggressive transfer strategy which laid the foundations at City for many years.
FFP has definitely put a stop to our big spending, we're very wary of it nowadays whereas when Cook was the CEO it was like fuck it, infact I'm not even sure it was a big thing then.

Always find it fascinating how many people are absolutely fully immersed into the transfer dealings of City. Gary Cook has a more aggressive transfer strategy? Jesus Christ

I probably don't no, just like any of us on here, but i can make assumptions.

I just hope Txiki and co can get a move on in the market. This Koulibaly saga needs finalising before the Wolves game or else we leave ourselves with very little time to work on other targets.

I completely understand FFP is a hindrance, but seeing as we were prepared to go big on Messi this window, that says to me there is plenty of money in the bank to spend on players. We should be making sure we cover all weak areas of the squad. After all, Pep hasn't come anywhere close to winning the Champions league, so as a club we need to make sure we cover all areas of the squad with quality to give Pep the best chance of winning it.
Where we ever in for Messi. It was the media bigging it up.
