Keeping our best players

I think it is a great testament to the strength of our club and the appeal of our 'project' that we have been able to keep hold of our best players over the last few years. Also we are now in a position to attract the very best players available even when up against the other top teams in Europe (unless you throw stupid money at players ie Sanchez and the scum).
Players like Aguero, Kompany, King Dave have all stayed and the so called glamour clubs (Barca & R. Madrid) haven't had a sniff of getting them from us. Evan the old pisscan who famously said he wouldn't sell Real a virus had to admit defeat with the fake Ronaldo.
When you look at de Bruyne, Eddy, B. Silva, Jesus, Sane can you really see our club letting these players go to one of our rivals?.
All this bodes well for our great club and the future is definitely BLUE !!!!

I think the next few years will be the biggest test. Ederson, KDB, Jesus, Sane will all have most clubs wanting them. We have been great over the years putting to bed any interest in our players (Yaya aside) We have sold none of our better players in their prime.

I think the biggest test of our resolve and the players desire to stay, especially the younger players, will be when Pep leaves. Which I hope is not for a long time yet.

I`ve always had a feeling that Real will go for Sane. I hope I`m wrong
C'est la vie if clubs come in for our stars. One thing we have been brilliant at imo is getting these players at what are really bargain prices. £50 million for KdB or whatever it was has been proven to be cheap for example. If Real or others want them, it will cost big time. Our recruitment of players has been with an eye on the future though, so I think they signed knowing they would be with us for several years, which reassures me that nobody will want to leave

Sane for £37 million is also pretty decent

We have been lucky in that Barca & Real have been well stocked with WC players. They had the likes of Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, etc etc.

Real though are soon to start a re-bulding job. Barca's squad is also coming to near the end. These 2 & PSG are the only clubs that can compete with us financially.

The issue will be that as a club we are trying to bring the wage bill down. We have already given a big contract to KDB. It won't be long till others are knocking on the door. If we refuse to meet demands then players may start agitating for moves.

One word. Milner.

Not got a problem with Milner unlike some City fans but it did make me laugh that he left us to play centre-mid at Liverpool and ended up becoming 2nd choice left-back.

Over the next few years, I reckon Sane will be the most difficult to keep and we should do everything to keep him here.
