Keir Starmer

Are people without a grudge annoyed with Labours tweet or is it just those with an axe to grind?

Listening to BBC and the interviewer seems really angry, almost like a Tory spokes person.

It just seems a bit pathetic - like when Boris tried to go after starmer for not prosecuting Jimmy Savile. If they settle into a campaign of this sort of mudslinging coming up to the GE then it effectively allows both parties off the hook. This sort of crap means the Tories avoid the issue of the mess they've made in govt, and starmer gets to avoid awkward questions about how labour would be different.

I sort of get that but also look at it from the very serious view point that public services are so underfunded that we cannot afford to serve justice properly.

It’s clear, even from the colour within the graphic, that Labour are attacking the Tories in the run-up to the local elections, following the Tories attacking Labour for being supposedly weak on justice.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with the graphic and trying to understand why individuals are getting worked up about a political response from Labour. Is it because we’re not used to Labour going on the attack, which many slate them for the lack of, or is it due to it being personalised, specifically attacking Sunak?

I’d like to see more of this as it makes a strong statement of what Labours stance is, giving us an understanding of their future policies.

It's just a bit shit, isn't it? It's obviously not true, and that's a poor sell when the main attack line is simply "The Tories lie to you".

Just encourages the allthesamery and whataboutery.

Mind you, when 30p Lee thinks it's "vile and desperate" you have to take note as he's the expert in vile desperation.

It is a very poor tweet for tge labour party to even consider in the past, it is very populist and tory-like.

I doubt starmer personally signs off on these so to use it to bash him is daft, but the PR department need calling out as dicks

See what I mean about encouraging allthesamery?
No it's more theyarenotquiteasshittery which isn't great.

You are doing what you seem to accuse others of. Unless Labour do something mind boggingly bad the tories will lose power which is a very good thing. Discussing the likely successors on a football forum changes nowt.

Some of you could be a little less precious about your 'team'

Leave the propaganda battle to the media and politicians. We get enough of that shit as is.

Aside from the depravity of weaponising the abuse of children it also highlights their stupidity. If it's about tougher sentencing who bears the most responsibility? Sunak, who wasn't even an MP for the full period in question or the fella who had a direct involvement in setting the sentencing guidelines?

"Alright Sir Keir. Absolutely pissing the polls for to win the next GE. Can you sanction a post calling the PM a nonce so the Tories can use the all politicians are the same argument as well as the culture wars? You've had a good run mate. But it's time to make the next election a bit closer and hand the Tories a small majority. BTW loving your work purging all lefties from the party."
