We have a general Conservative Party thread in the forum but I can’t see a Labour one. I never know to stick things in the JC thread or Independent with what’s going on currently. I did come on to talk about Williamson being suspended by the party today.

I mentioned this a few weeks back and was laughed at. The polls are narrowing. Starmer is not breaking through as was expected and his evisceration of the left has shown him to be a Blairite puppet. Voters do nut trust the Blairites.

I'm not so sure about that prediction.

For me, he is missing the killer instinct. The tories have wrecked the country on every metric you care to measure during their tenure, and, for whatever reason which baffles me, he isn't concentrating his efforts on hammering home the extent of the misery tory policies have had on the British people.

He's as wide off the mark as Corbyn was, and I have no idea why, but the corruption, nepotism and absolute dishonsty of this government has provided him with an absolute arsenal of arguments that could, and should, be made, but it's just not forthcoming.

His ratings are falling at the moment, and it's a sad state of affairs that is happening.

Starmer won't be winning fuck all ..... but he might lose it. The poll lead is mainly down to the Tory implosion .... it only shifted decisively in Labours favour following the partygate 'revelations'. His personal ratings are dire and getting worse. Simultaneously the gap in the overall polling is narrowing.
The chances are Labour will form the next government, they've got the added bonus of the SNP imploding, but if you think that is down to Starmer then you are deluding yourself...... mind you you've got form for that ;-)
