Francis & Daft Donald eh?You could have Mickey and Donald in charge and we will still be fooked. Perhaps Goofy as sports minister.
Suppose they'd be no worse than any of the career politicians out there.

I think you are missing the point. I'm saying he never had any intention of standing by the 10 pledges he stood on to become leader .... and Hodge appears to confirm that.I know, I remember him saying it. The current climate is significantly different even from then.

The clip is from the leadership campaign in 2020 and it predates Covid, Ukraine and all the other 'economic climate' excuses that are trotted out to excuse his dishonesty.

So a long winded way of saying someone is an untrustworthy liar.I think he’ll be more radical than many people think but knows that anything too radical said now gives the Tories ammunition to use “magic money tree” bollocks in response to promises made now. His priority is to be seen as not corrupt and not to scare off the socially conservative vote that have kept the Tories in power for 13 years but have finally realised that the government are useless. He will have calculated that the vast majority of Labour’s core support will vote for them anyway so pissing off a significant proportion of them now is a risk worth taking when looking at the bigger picture. Once in power I think things could look very different.
also there was an economy in 2020 when some things could be costed and promises made then there is the economy post Truss/Kwarteng which makes everything different - something the Tory press conveniently overlook
Only when it suits apparently;-)I thought Brexit killed the economy. It’s hard to keep up with all the excuses really.
