I really don't think there's anything difficult about taking ID

It will be a non issue come next vote.

That's because you have ID, and probably always have.

You need to put yourself in the shoes of someone who doesn't have ID. Most of us here will have had passports and/or driving licenses most of our lives, so it's difficult to imagine who doesn't and the reasons why. It's more than likely they're already on the periphery of society, and we should be doing everything we can to encourage them to vote, not put up barriers.

If the analysis shows the rise of the Greens was because of the support of the disaffected left that spells problems for Labour. Elsewhere is seems the "get the tory out" vote meant tactical voting for the Lib Dems who had a great night then the chance of a Labour majority at the next election is slim at best.

Could the Green left become the "UKIP" of the left and put pressure on Starmer to halt his centrist charge.

It looks to me like the soft right he's pandering too have for the most part voted lib dem too. I think he may end up in coalition with them after the GE. Total rerun of Cameron a decade or so ago.
