Hoyle is a labour MP, if you know whats been happening at party level all over the country then is is very palusable his seat in the next election was threatened so he chose labours amendments, Kier isn't knicknamed Kier Stalin in local CLPs for no reason, the man is a control freak who throws members under the bus at a whim if he thinks they threaten his image

That will blow over in a week or two, 40+ of his MPs defying him in a vote would be used by the tories up till the ellection to show him as weak or labour as a party split and in crisis.

Short term pain for long term gain, Labour came out of this better than if Hoyle had ignored their amendment.

Labour are down 10% in the polls since last October. If you take the extremes of the margins of error, Labours lead could be as little as 8%.

Do not rule out the polls narrowing further.

I thought the last poll was showing them 26 points up on the Tories?

Doesn't matter. What will be, will be, and if the Tories stay in power I can blame all the lunatics for keeping them there while I take up my residence on the moon with all the rest of the extremely rich people who are trying to get off this planet due to its fuckedness.

Only issue, I won’t be able to afford the hole on the moon so will be beholden to the extremely rich person who takes me and will live to poor Dickensian values.
