It pains me to see all this hype about Rashford. It makes me sick hearing all my rag friends gloating about him. Kelechi is clearly much better than him and would've performed better than him if given the chance. It's even more painful anytime I see Bony playing over him like in that West Brom game. Wish Pellers would've given him more minutes - meaningful minutes and not just the last 5 mins of a match. What I'm afraid is that he might not get his chance with Pep either, especially since Pep wants to bring in a new backup Striker.

Stats comparison:
Kelechi - 9 goals 1 assist in 432 mins played.
Rashford - 7 goals 1 assist in 773 mins played.

Stats are irrelevant. You won't see more hype in the media for the simple matter that Rashford is English and Kelechi isn't. If history has taught us anything its the English media love hyping up the next English 'Superstar'.

However Kelechi has been criminally underused this season and now we're at a stage in the season where its unlikely he will get minutes as we need to secure Champions League next season and progress in the Champions League this season, add to that all our players are now getting back from injury. He might get a game with 1 or 2 games left in the season.

I wouldn't dispute the Rashford hype sentiment (a propaganda wankfest accompanies every rag youth academy graduation as a matter of course - and the fact that Rashford was only given a chance because there was almost literally no-one else fit is naturally ignored by the media), but I've not seen much to support your assertion that Kelechi is "clearly better than him" and the claim that he "would have performed better than him if given the chance" is pure speculation.
Kelechi has scored just twice in the league (no-one could seriously count the back deflection vs Swansea), and one of those was a tap in from two yards at Palace.
I like Iheanacho; he's an excellent goal poacher in the 6 yard box and a smart finisher generally, but outside the box I would say he's been good rather than eye catching.
Much as it pains me to say it, Rashford looks a menace every time I see him. He's tall, he's lightning fast, and he's not just scoring goals, but scoring them in big games (Arsenal, City, West Ham). Kelechi might go on to become a top, top striker, but if I'm being cold blooded on what I've seen so far, I'd take Rashford if offered a choice between the two, although the call is undeniably a close one

To be fair Rashford is playing in constipated LGV system which prefers a back pass than trying to create chances, so we need to take that into consideration, while Kelechi is playing with likes of Silva,KDB,Toure supporting him. Not saying one is better than other but for an young lad is is doing well for himself.

Don't know who the commentator was, but my feed shouted out when Rashford scored "Manchester United..... Giving youth it's chance since 1958!!!!!!" really??? Over to the Newcastle match we went lol

Rashford is shite. He'll go out on loan and won't come back.

As it stands both players have their attributes, but I wouldn't say what I've heard of Rashford is all hype. Having seen him play, he's lightening fast, cool under pressure, can play wide, through the middle and has a bit of skill about him too.

When Kelechi replaced Kun on Saturday, he dropped deeper than usual and showed a level of skill above what I've been used to seeing from him and he looked like a proper play maker doing so. Both Rashford and Kelechi are young, brilliant for their age and have room and time to improve. Both clubs look to have potential starts on their hands.

As for Kelechi's limited game time, it's baffled all of us why Bony has been selected ahead of him until very recently. Also with Aguero's injury record, I keep shitting myself that he'll pick up another injury whilst Manuel keeps playing him until the death in games that are already won and under our control. Many times I and many have wondered why risk Aguero until 5 minutes before the end of a game before Kelechi is brought on to get no meaningful game time.

Perhaps Kelechi's advancement is no longer a concern for a manager who won't benefit from it, as I can't think of any other rational explanation.

Even as a blue I can admit that Rashford looks like a great talent. And so is Iheanacho. Don't care who's better or who fills more lines on the back page. It won't matter when Kelechi wins us the Champions League in the last minute ;)

People wonder why we are called bitter and smalltime...........

What's being bitter got to do with this? Football fans have a tendency to prefer their own players to those of other clubs (especially local rivals). Maybe it would help avoid us being called "bitter and smalltime" if fellow blues stopped saying it every time they disagreed with something.

Fwiw, Rashford's a decent player who will be really tested once the monotony of being the standout kid at a has-been club - and all the pressure and expectation which comes with it - gets to him. Right now he looks absolutely fearless.

Kelechi's progress is being hindered for what looks like political reasons. At least when he starts holding down a regular place, the spotlight will be off him

We wont know will we because Pellegrini does not play him.

For the future of this club, and the player, he should be looking to give him as many minutes as possible when games are safe.

Both are wonderful talents with bags of potential. The difference being......Rashford has been afforded the opportunity to prove his,and he's undeniably, and impressively, taken full advantage of that.
I'll be delighted if Kelechi can replicate his achievements, and from his brief cameo's,i'm sure he's capable.....however,as it stands,Rashford would be my pick of the two.

At the beginning of the season we were saying Kelechi is better than Martial, now he is better than Rashford !

Right now Kelechi is outstanding finisher, but outside the box he become less than average.

I am waiting to see him dribble, protect the ball, keep possession...etc and in order to see that he needs to start games regularly.
