Apparently few clips doing the rounds of him looking rather unfit and slow today but also see he scored? Did we let him go at the right time??
Yes, we did.Apparently few clips doing the rounds of him looking rather unfit and slow today but also see he scored? Did we let him go at the right time??
etched in my memory. He was absolutely brilliant. For the first goal by Leroy, when the ball was passed, I turned to Mrs S and said 'what the hell is he playing at'. It was just unbelievable vision that only he could see.Nah, it was very disrespectful to Stoke IMO.
You are right. But I do SO miss him. He was with us a decade and it's like losing a long time good mate. He still feels like he will always be 'ours'.Pep and City were spot on when releasing KDB, Make no bones about it, King Kev can still play but not at the levels required in the Premier League's top club, Pep and City are rebuilding a new team and KDB would only block somebody's progress for the next 3 to 5 years
I would have loved him to stay and be in and around the squad, even coaching and working with the youth.
But King Kev has the love of the game still in his bones, if they are not aching because of the different demands in another league, then he's made the right move
It’s exactly as it was with Zaba, Vinnie, Sergio, Merlin, Dinho and others. You are right. But I do SO miss him. He was with us a decade and it's like losing a long time good mate. He still feels like he will always be 'ours'.
Time was right, heart for me says wrong ( BTW I'm old enough to be his mum, hence the sentiment :-)) .
I'm a mum. Sentiment always gets in the way! I was equally upset when Zanman left. It’s exactly as it was with Zaba, Vinnie, Sergio, Merlin, Dinho and others.
The time was right for them to move on, whether we (and they) wanted it to happen or not.
There can be no sentiment at the highest levels of football, nor any other sport, when it comes to making decisions about the future of the club and individuals.
Txiki always made the right decision, IMHO. Hopefully, Hugo will continue that.
I miss KdB, the player of two or three - and more - seasons ago, as I miss prime Sergio, Merlin, Zaba, Vinnie, etc.I'm a mum. Sentiment always gets in the way! I was equally upset when Zanman left.
However I do concur the time was right to cut loose but
can't help missing the creative gem he was for us. But life moves on I know.....
