Apparently few clips doing the rounds of him looking rather unfit and slow today but also see he scored? Did we let him go at the right time??

I'll let you know . Going out to Naples with my two adult children to watch him in October International break . Three blues watching the best midfielder in the world has ever seen , albeit in the wrong pale blue shirt . Fingers crossed his shredded hamstring holds up until then .

Scrap this thread we don't need to disect the KDB move for the entire length of the Serie A season, fuck me every time he gets an assist against some piss poor Italian side in the same week we fail to win the thread will jump 100 pages.

Think that game went something like 3-0 us, then Stoke had the cheek to pull 2 back and I said to my mate "they've poked the bear. They're going to suffer now."

One of the most amazing passes I seen was from him to Sterling one side of the pitch to the other with his back turned to Sterling not knowing exactly where he was. Amazing ball.

One of the best in the PL and only Pep and our club saw it. Not Chelsea, not the sports media, not the fans (Do we still have that "Is Kevin worth his place" thread from his early days? What a ridiculous thread.

Pep and City were spot on when releasing KDB, Make no bones about it, King Kev can still play but not at the levels required in the Premier League's top club, Pep and City are rebuilding a new team and KDB would only block somebody's progress for the next 3 to 5 years

I would have loved him to stay and be in and around the squad, even coaching and working with the youth.
But King Kev has the love of the game still in his bones, if they are not aching because of the different demands in another league, then he's made the right move

You are right. But I do SO miss him. He was with us a decade and it's like losing a long time good mate. He still feels like he will always be 'ours'.

Time was right, heart for me says wrong ( BTW I'm old enough to be his mum, hence the sentiment :-)) .

It’s exactly as it was with Zaba, Vinnie, Sergio, Merlin, Dinho and others.

The time was right for them to move on, whether we (and they) wanted it to happen or not.

There can be no sentiment at the highest levels of football, nor any other sport, when it comes to making decisions about the future of the club and individuals.

Txiki always made the right decision, IMHO. Hopefully, Hugo will continue that.

I'm a mum. Sentiment always gets in the way! I was equally upset when Zanman left.

However I do concur the time was right to cut loose but
can't help missing the creative gem he was for us. But life moves on I know.....

I miss KdB, the player of two or three - and more - seasons ago, as I miss prime Sergio, Merlin, Zaba, Vinnie, etc.

He will always be KING KEV and part of the MANCHESTER CITY Golden period that maybe nobody else will ever reach

Spot on
We are living the dream, with so many memories with heroes and legends and magic moments.
But we want more and more, if that means having to let players move on, that once shone brightly, then so be it

The future is blue
