Kevin Friend

He made one error imo, awarding the free kick after playing a good, and well used advantage. His assistants let him down yesterday, he gave a free kuck, then 20 seconds later his assistant steps in with the wrong decision, which he has to follow. same with the red card, he was 10 yards.away and didn't give it, then on the advice of the assistant changes his mind. I think the ref was badly let down by the other officials yesterday.

you don't have to agree with them, and besides he was in a much better position for both and had already made his mind up with a perfectly good view, so that shows he doesn't trust his own decision making as he should have waved the officials away.

it was an odd performance.
He made a spot on call then listened to his linesmen that was on the other side of the pitch and clearly had a blocked view from Bramble, very weird decision. Also the advantage thing, isn't it play the advantage or pull it back for a free kick? Not have an advantage and miss and pull it back for a free kick?

Too many refs are adopting the rugby way - play on for five mins and if nowt comes of it, go back to where the foul was. It's cake an' 'apenny reffing and totally wrong!
