Keyboard for a 6 year old?

Hi, anyone ever start their 6 year old on piano lessons and would recommend a good keyboard.

I'd like to get it at Christmas rather than when he goes for lessons.....'cos my story is that Santa wants him to learn. ;-)

Depends how much you want to spend but the Yamaha P45 is a good starter digital piano. An acoustic is generally preferable if you have the room for it.

Get one with weighted keys if you want them to be serious about it and save some monies in future

If its not going in their bedroom make sure it has a headphone socket and you have room for it.
