Eccles of course! Just Eccles!!
I have a Samsung notebook as well as my laptop and said notebook has numbers as well as letters on the right hand set of keys: e.g. J/1 K/2 L/3 ;/: - etc. and that has not been a problem until recently when suddenly I cannot get the letters to appear just the numbers!! I guess that somehow I have pressed something on the F1 to F12 buttons maybe and have tried pressing those but can't find out how to get it back to normal. Any ideas please? :-)

My Dell has those combinations on the Fn key. If you can't find a functionality to unlock and can't be arsed to consult the user manual or phone the premium-rate helpline, then the only recourse is the hammer. Sorry about that ;o)

*lol* I lost the user manual in Vancouver airport, or somewhere between there and Manchester Airport, can't afford the premium-rate helpline because I am saving up to go back to Vancouver (not just the airport though) so I guess the hammer is the only solution!! Thank you :-)

Numlock?

Numlk

Or FN key then Num lock...

Tried all those fulabeer, doesn't work. Thank you though. I don't understand why it has numbers on those keys anyway because there is the usual row or numbers at the top of the keyboard as well!!

I've got an IBM Thinkpad, and it's SHIFT + NumLk. I think the numbers on the letter keys are for use with Alt + . I know if you want to remove names from shortcuts on your desktop to make it look a bit neater, then you can rename them using Alt + 255, which creates a blank space. For the second shortcut you rename you have to use Alt + 255 twice, and so on for however many you wish to remove the names from. This doesn't work if you use the regular number keys.
