Khaldoon al Mubarak - the new Peter Swales?

Mr Khaldoon reads this forum, which might be one of the reasons why Hughes went (although I don't approve of the manner in which it was done) so don't go slagging him and sheikh mansour off on here because we should be thankful for all the money when they can easily just piss off.

Dont be a tit. "Hughes was sacked cos Khaldoon reads this forum". Hughes was sacked because the multi billionaire owners and their advisers decided hughes could not take the club any further and a better option was available. They will do the same again when necessary, but not because of a few hundred posts on bluemoon.

Swales has risen fromn the grave and his soul now inhabits a man from Abu Dhabi. But surely not even Swales - the man who sacked Mel Machin claiming he had "no repartee with the fans" - would sack a man who took us to 6th place and a cup semi-final for the first time in 28 years?

I'll try and give a serious answer to this ludicrous post, as much as I might want to just dismiss you as an idiot.

How can you compare ANY manager under Swales with a manager who has had £200m+ to spend on players plus a huge wage budget? The fact is Hughes is a decent enough manager but the board judged on the basis of a number of mediocre performances this season that he wouldn't be able to kick on and take the club into the top 4, which is where the owners want to be on a regular basis. If you disagree with that fine, say so, but please keep these sort of crackpot comparisons to yourself.

And the other thing is he's even imposed an assistant on him (shades of Allison being foisted on Book and John Maddocks on Horton).

Doing that suggests that we've given a 3.5 year contract to a man who is only going to be doing 0.5 years in the job.

Do you seriously think he won't have been asked if he wanted said assistant during negotiations?

Liverpool and the rags have had a number of mediocre performances this season, having spent a lot of money. Sunderland certainly have and Spurs. Yet all their managers will be in place until the end of the season.

Swales was the king of the knee-jerk reaction.

Yes. He'll have been told. Because he's not here for long and they don't want to be paying compo to all his mafia chums as well.

Shorts is right - don't be a tit!

But the mind that can create the concept of Swales rising from the grave and inhabiting the soul of a man from Abu Dhabi should be respected!!
