Last year I noticed there is a trolley bus stop across the car park as you come out of the Airport. Ignoring a dozen or so Taxi drivers gathering round me as I came out and walked over to the Trolley bus stop, still being followed by a couple of them in their cabs, bought a ticket, About 15p. Last time trolley bus No 5 took me in towards the centre (25mins). well worth the 3 minutes walk across the Airport car park.

Kharkiv Airport Bus Stop
Payment of fares in public transport can be made when getting on a bus. The single trip by trolley-bus No.5 costs UAH 3.00. By fixed route bus – UAH 6.00-6.50.

Thanks berryblue, that's really useful info. Having been last year and staying in same hotel, I know where I'm going. I'm arriving the day before, so got loads of time.

Always found it best to change money at the Airport you're landing at. Don't seem to take any commission. About 37UAH to the £ at the moment.

If you plan on using the metro, make sure you know the right line, and station, in their alphabet as there is nothing in english once you get down there. We thought we did last year and got pretty lost, so we ended up getting a taxi (easy and cheap).

Also bear in mind that it will be closed after the game (it finishes at 12, and they kept us in till after that, and you're 15 minutes later this year as well).

Can you change money in the city or just at the airport?

I aint been before.

Do Shaktar have a club shop at the stadium?
They have a shop in the centre of Kharkiv and also at the ground but the police weren't keen on letting us outside the cordon once the coaches arrived last year. They do sell a programme apparently but only in the club shop.
