Kieran Trippier

good article on him here and sounds like he wants to stay and fight for his place.

It is really sad, this boy is seriously talented and has impressed on every loan spell away from the club but he has no chance now especially after seeing that Savic is a good right-back too. That'd make Trippier #4 right-back, maybe even #5 if Boyata stays.

Trippier would have made our squad by now as recently as 2008 but it will be very hard for all but the elite academy kids to get a chance now.

One thing I agree on that many have said is that even if a player doesn't look like he'll quite make it, a run of games around first class players can take him to another level so he does become a better player but it doesn't look like a player like Trippier will have that chance. I hope the club puts a big sell-on % clause on him though as I think he could go as far as national team contention in future.

I've always been impressed by him, but even if he never makes the grade at City, he will have a good premier league career. And considering he has been with us since he was 10 I think that'll be a big feather in the cap of our academy. Mancini will give him every chance to prove he's good enough tho, just up to him to take it

gutted he isnt in the team right now, he's talented enough, but no one at city is giving him a chance

Two Burnley fans at work and they're absolutely raving about him and would love to keep him. They're a bit less enthusiastic about Ben Mee.

Yeah, Mee has been demoted to the bench and is finished as far as his City career goes. A shame as he was the captain of the FA Youth Cup winning side but he hasn't lived up to his early potential.

Guy at work was saying this very thing to me the other week

All he wants is to play football, he has his head screwed on and his dad looks after him very well, i hope he gets his chance in the 1st team one day but at the moment hes enjoying himself at burnley

Pretty simple really.

We have a team of world class players. If you don't look like you have the ability to be world class, you are wasting our valuable time.

Can anyone here really see City winning at the Nou Camp after Kieran Trippier marked Lionel Messi out of the game?

If the answer is yes, he should get his chance. If the answer is no, then he should not.

It's harsh, and somewhat annoying, but it is the reality of the difference in class required three years ago and now.
