Tangled Up In Blue
Bob Dylan
Early one mornin' the sun was shinin'
I was layin' in bed
Wondrin' if she'd changed at all
If her hair was still red
Her folks they said our lives together
Sure was gonna be rough
They never did like
Mama's homemade dress
Papa's bank book wasn't big enough
And I was standin' on the side of the road
Rain fallin' on my shoes
Heading out for the east coast
Lord knows I've paid some dues
Gettin' through
Tangled up in blue
She was married when we first met
Soon to be divorced
I helped her out of a jam I guess
But I used a little too much force
We drove that car as far as we could
Abandoned it out west
Split up on a dark sad night
Both agreeing it was best
She turned around to look at me
As I was walkin' away
I heard her say over my shoulder
We'll meet again some day
On…
Bloody hell Oackie , I can remember lyrics from songs from years ago like you, buggered if I know why I opened the fridge door or went in the bathroom, claiming Finger then rolling the wood on thumb. Life is a blast then there's City. Tangled up in blue indeed :-)

I’m really sad to hear this news. I lived in Birmingham when KOTK started and once they started selling it at Maine Rd it was part of the match day ritual and like the 70’s thread it’s something else that’s lost.
Yes I can go on line blah blah but it’s not the same as meeting Sue and chatting about the Eye Hospital it a quick chat with Ged or others.
I would highly recommend it to anyone - it’s City to the core, thoughtful, funny, insightful and just a brilliant and long read.
Not sure about Mr Savage’s articles!!!only kidding - they were/are great.
There’s no club PR in KOTK and whilst there is a variety of contributors they all get our fan base and get the club.

Spot on I was actually looking for Sue to buy a copy from on Saturday. I have chatted to her since 1999 and been buying the KK before that. I will miss seeing her cheery face and if she wasn't there I'd often buy one from the long haired guy and have a chat too. I didn't speak to Dave a lot as I rarely walk that way to the ground, but another nice person and a true Blue.

I did ask Sue if they were going to keep going as the forums online were kind of squeezing such publications but she said they were doing okay. I fear this may be the beginning of the end but I hope not. It must e a lot of work, kudos to them for keeping it going so long.

Always a good read, written by and for City supporters, and as others have said the sad end of the printed version is another sign of the times. Met Dave & Sue once, years ago, when I was back over; a few months later they put a note in the magazine saying I was dead.
Later corrected.
Haha! Very funny!

But I’m glad you aren’t dead.

Fuck me that’s some recovery

I agree 100% with everything you mention in your post Don.
Apart from the comment about Greenalls beer.
The bitter was like piss water,so I went for a very tasty alternative, also brewed by Greenalls.
A bottle or two of Bullseye Brown was a bit more expensive than bitter, but the taste was 10 times better.
Greenall Whitley,
Whitleys Greenall brown
So here's to the beer that's full of cheer
Go for a Bulls Eye brown.

These young uns don't know their born

I also remember a similar advert jingle that went -

"Greenall Whitley
The finest beer around
If you aim to get your whistle wet
Go for a Bullseye Brown".

Yes I seen it & great memories and it was what is was back then , You can't rewrite history & wether the PC on here don't like it it was a fuc*ing buzz watching City in them days
What gets me is some Mard arses on here will glorify in them days but tut tut if some one spills a coke a cola & complain there is no vegan burger left at half time
While we were blagging to away games on trains back then ,majority of fans were late teens early & mid twenties & up for a buzz .Kids of 10 & 12 onwards were singing their heads of in the Kippax & Platt lane Now a days alot of fans of that age just can't afford the games ,
We are losing a generation of City fans due to the club's greed
That is a disgrace our club should be ashamed of
The PR people who termed "match day experience " experience wernt around to see the toilets in the kippax , the police escorts to the games ,violent police officers ,shit greenhalls " beer" The battles before during & after the game
Trouble with City now is we have become everything we despised about the rags
I hardly come on here now but After a few Effes in Turkey thought I would have my Lira's worth lol
Great Post Don

Just to be clear, it's still being produced in hard copy form but will only be available by post, not in person at matches.

I've got to say I loved them days. A fanzine was a link to fellow Blues. The first Internet one that I knew of was MCIVTA, one of the people who ran it was a girl called Heidi, I only met her once anyone know where she is now ?
