Used to really enjoy reading the fanzines back in the day, Kotk and city till I cry were the ones most readily available I found. Before the forums etc really took off it was my only way off keeping up to date with all things City. Plus it used to keep me occupied on some of those long train journeys. We moved house about a year ago and the wife found a box full of fanzines which I spent a good few hours ago. Feels surreal reading about lack of money/ambition and the transfer window of 2004 where we were only able to bring in Thatcher and Mills. Reminded me a bit of this window really.

No. That was Louise Burgess. Think her brother Richard wrote for the M.E.N. at one time.

I got to know both Mike Kelly and Frank Newton (the co-editors in the early days of BP) quite well, and I briefly met @Mad Eyed Screamer, who was also heavily involved.

I've got to say I loved them days. A fanzine was a link to fellow Blues. The first Internet one that I knew of was MCIVTA, one of the people who ran it was a girl called Heidi, I only met her once anyone know where she is now ?

I remember the name Heidi Pickup on the weekly email A fantastic read for Blues around the world.

Used to buy them all at one stage. Blueprint was the best one imo it was a bit more feisty, irreverent and aggressive than most of the others

Always a good read, written by and for City supporters, and as others have said the sad end of the printed version is another sign of the times. Met Dave & Sue once, years ago, when I was back over; a few months later they put a note in the magazine saying I was dead.
