I've been thinking about a smiliar idea for the corner of the Kippax, blocks 111, 110 and 109 for quite a while. However, I've held back bringing the topic up on Blue Moon as I was told no banners were allowed on the 2nd tiers due to the advertising boards.(told this in past at meetings with the club)
However, this longer seems the case.
As such, I would like to canvas opinions on a banner above blocks 111, 110 and 109 in the Kippax. If there's enough support for one and we can raise enough money to cover the costs of making one, I'm willing to put the idea forward to the club. We can then take it from there.
One of my initial ideas for a banner was. (taken from Beady Eye and the title of the <a class="postlink" href="songhttp://www.standingontheedgeofthenoise.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">songhttp://www.standingontheedgeofthenoise.com/</a> )
with block numbers 111, 110, 109, as well as a motif or a club badge added to the banner.
Standing on the edge of the noise refers to the away fans literally standing next to and on the 'edge of the noise' coming from City's most vocal singing sections.
