Kitchen Gadgets you should own.

Anysharp knife sharpener.

Immense piece of kit.
£8 in asda and will make your knives like razors in a couple of strokes through the device.

Much recommended

Lots of professional would disagree. This thing eats the blade.

Anyone who likes to keep their knives pretty sharp should get one of these.

Had mine for 2 years now and it does the job. Not a Gimmick at all.

Pretty handy if you have fussy fuckers who hate fat.

I need this :-)
Where did you purchase it from?
Thanks

What the fuck is it?

Looks like it should be in the shed of a country vet.

Steels Sir Bob take a bit of practice. They do however over time, strip the blade.Old school dinosaurs swear by them. Technology changes even in the cooking business.

I've had a few knife sharpeners over the years and they have all been useless. I usually end up buying new knives. Hopefully, this will remedy the problem, because one of my favourite recipes involves dicing steak and frying it with mushrooms and onions and then crumbling an Oxo cube over the top for the last minute, before to slapping it all on a lightly toasted oven bottom muffin.

That's better.

Patronising ****.

Isn't it wonderful that us chaps can now openly discuss kitchen gadgets in the cellar without anyone calling us Gay or posting that clip of the Chinese bloke in a class room. Progress indeed.

If you're into cooking, you should save some pennies and buy these.

Sous Vide. An excellent way to 'boil in the bag' your vac packed grub to perfection without losing any juices. Also can be used as a slow cooker. Pop in your stock, wine or liquid, bang in your meat and leave for several hours. Pick up a decent one off amazon for a couple of hundred.

The Anti-griddle. Freezes instantly rather than cooks, great for making patterns of purees, sauces and other things that can be put straight onto the plate, then slowly melt in front of the customer/guest. If lef on for a while, the outside of a sauce can stay crunchy while the centre is soft. Freezes oils too. Not cheap however.

Pacojet. The ultimate tool for making Ice cream and smoothies. Put your frozen product in the container, lets say frozen bacon or broccoli or whatever you want. Select the portion you want, press the button and the pacojet will vaporize your frozen food into a frozen powder. All you do then is add a touch off cream, or other liquid, mix and hey presto, broccoli Ice cream, or bacon Ice cream.

Bamix. Forget your Braun, Delonghi, Bosch, Kenwood or other hand mixers, this fucker is the bomb. Chances are, you'll be handing it down to your grand kids. Steps up to the plate when other hand held mixers burn there motors out.

Food for thought kids.
With regards to vacuum packing steak, how long would it last for in the fridge?
Cheers
