Kodi/SPMC

I’ve mentioned this before but for those of you not as techy minded as others on here I have a very reliable service. It’s a mobile sat dish and receiver that costs about £350 - £400 to set up. I get virtually every game I want to watch in full HD. It’s quite often a foreign commentary but that never detracts from the football for me. I can get BT and Sky but only in SD which is shite now. Sometimes German channels and Bulgarian Nova Sports can be changed to English commentary. I get all the Sports I ever need and never miss a City away game, also as a boxing fan I get all the PPV events. It’s a bit of a chunk initially but well worth it and no techy shit to deal with. The card renewal cost £70 pa, bargain.

Always say if you have the spare cash European cardshare is the way to go. That said the initial cost and mounting of a massive dish are what put me off

My dish is about 90cm so it’s not too bad pal, I know you have good knowledge of the Kodi tech, I’m useless at all that stuff, it’s way above my level but pressing a couple of buttons on my sat is achievable!

Tbh if you've set up a motorised dish system with cardshare you could easily setup Kodi imo.
Setting up a satellite system is no easy feat

For me if you don’t know much about kodi and how to install plugins/repos it be a pain for most because you set a box up build wise with everything working perfectly and after a week maybe a month something will stop working and if you don’t know much about kodi it’s a waste of time.

That’s why apk’s are the way to go and there is abundance of them now out there.

I used to work for SIS (not on the install side) so I know how to tune a dish in with a Promac but as I’m no good with heights I got my mate who’s a bus driver to do it!!

I can get all that in HD for £14 for 3 months.

£14 difference over a calendar year is not an issue. Is that via a satellite system or an unstable media platform like Kodi that needs managing by techy minded users (which I am not). I have never seen the likes of a Kodi box performing as well as my sat box and they always lag behind real time sat broadcasts. I like to watch my live games with Sky Soccer Saturday on the Laptop (which is slightly behind), it’s only away games for me as I go to all the matches at the Etihad but I get my value from watching loads of sport. I also have Sky Sports as I love their golf coverage and football, with my sat subscription plus Netflix and Sky I pay around £90 a month including phone and broadband. A far cry from my first Sky subscription of 2.99!!
