Would there be no way of getting an m3u working through Plex tee? Not ideal but if you're already stuck with a Roku it must be frustrating

Kind of but many streams are not accepted by plex, if you use basic http transport streams you should be ok but there are limitations and issues with it being a flawless experience. There is a plugin here for example https://github.com/Cigaras/IPTV.bundle Most should be fine but a few setups may have issues, especially for those who just maybe bought a box and have no technical skills.

Personally i assume they will clamp down harder as they made a big choice, stay favourable to pirates or go legit, they chose legit. So knowing that i have to assume they will do whatever makes the .us government happy on a whim. That would see shutting down all apps that lend themselves to piracy on the roku platform as perfectly possible a situation.

You could be missing the new resolver url though it should install with placenta, go to system, system, addons, then across to my dependancies, and check in that list if resolveurl is there, If not completely uninstall placenta and reinstall and it should add the dependency. For Anyone using a nan Scrapers addon and you don't have resolve url, for example bob unleased, nan have pushed an update to use resolveurl rather than resolver url so you may get issues with that for a couple of days until the devs change the code, to bypass this install placenta or incursion and resolveurl will auto install
 
What boxes are best for watching IPTV? I keep reading either a dreamlink which is IPTV only or get a decent Android box? Id basically like something with a good interface / guide, on demand if poss but then also with the choice of having Kodi etc on it too?
