I'm not sure if there is a thread for this but just been on wikipedia lookin at City players, and seen on Kolarov's page that it says
Barcelona
On summer of 2012, will be oficcial that he will sign for Barcelona[2] for £15 million
obviously i don't believe this and i don't want to because i like Kolarov but has anyone got any news on it?
this probably isnt true as there has been no official word from anyone
think its just some rag b****** as usual

He's been linked with Barca in the Spanish press but only as a possible alternative to Alba.

Mind you, another Spanish site says they're in "advanced negotiations" with us for him but their press is as bad as ours.

The Italian clubs (Milan, Inter, Juve) are linked with him a lot more.

Who then should we look at to replace Kolarov? That young and unproven kid Digne? Seems like too much of a gamble, or is he really that good?

Barca? He has 1 trick(that thing he does between his legs and isn't the best defender) great left peg, i think he could be good for city in the future! but Barca?

He's stepped up for us on multiple occasions. Can't believe the grief he gets on here. Hes the victim of being in the wrong system- find someone to meet those crosses and you have goals galore. Tall poacher + ak47= goals

maybe some truth in us going for alba or that young left back from lille? i personally think mancini has rotated our fullbacks too much this season and certainly a defence should be a settled unit.

All his attacking talent doesn't compensate for the absolutely shocking schoolboy positioning and defending, he completely unbalances the team and as a result we look vastly more vulnerable when he's in the team.

Umm......Dzeko?

Silly thread, how can anyone acknowledge a change on Wikipedia?

As for Kolarov, I'd like to see him sold with a replacement brought in as back-up to Clichy. He's passionate, but just not up to the job on all fronts.

we should ask ourselves why clubs like Barcelona, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus want him while we are trying to get rid of him?!

there's few talented left-back's in the world at the moment, I want him to stay!

If the likes of Adriano can play LB for Barca then Kolarov can, there's hardly much defending to be done playing for Barca is there?

Kolarov is quite unique:
He's not really good enough of a defender as he is too slow and his positioning and anticipation could be far better.
As a winger again he's too slow and rarely gets passed his defender.
he has one heck of a cross though and potentially the hardest shot in football today (though he rarely uses pure power these days, opting for precision instead).

I don't know what to do with him, but I like him a lot, and everytime he plays I'm waiting for one of his thunder-shots to hit the net.

Inter are going in for him by the looks of things. Good stuff

Inter Milan sporting director Marco Branca has confirmed the club are targeting Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov, but has reiterated his team-mate Mario Balotelli is not in their plans.

Both players have been linked with moves away from City in the summer, with manager Roberto Mancini admitting he will "probably" sell Balotelli following a string of controversies both on and off the pitch.

The Italian striker has been linked with a return to his former club Inter, who sold him to City for a reported £23million fee in the summer of 2010, but president Massimo Moratti has denied the 21-year-old is a target.

Branca has echoed his comments but admits the Serie A giants are interested in signing Serbian full-back Kolarov.

The 26-year-old has made just nine Premier League starts for City this season after struggling to displace Gael Clichy in Mancini's first team.

"Kolarov is a player that interests us, it's true," Branca told FC Inter News.

"We can move on this issue at the end of the season. Balotelli? He is good but not in our plans."
