I sold him to Sevilla for 31.5 million in FIFA 12 the other day.

That's what I call good business.
you fancy taking over clearing the deadwood at city then?? ;-)

You might regret saying that when he turns his ps3 on and realises he actually sold Yaya by mistake ;)

Haha I struggled to offload Wayne Bridge even on FIFA 12.

Can't wait to see how bad he is at Brighton and Poyet ends up replacing him with a green 18 year old.

You assume he'll take his place in the starting XI?
Incurable optimism. :)

What game was it last season where he played at RB and looked like he was 25? One of my best surprises of the year that was. Couldn't tell the difference between him and Micah that day

It was against Bolton..., none the less he was good going forward that day. Personally I don´t think he´s good enough to be 3 Cb.

I remembered that, I think he came on as a sub and did brilliantly. TBF he started out as a winger.

Minus the drugs ban, Kolo has been nothing short of a model pro his time here. Always talking up the club ambitions.

Why would we want to move him on ??, he's a brilliant cover player and seems happy with that role, he's a non drinker / smoker with huge experience in the EPL and crucially the ECL so could probably do a job as and when required for 2-3 more years, I see no reason not to keep him.

Sorry but disagree, if we get T Silva and Martinez he would be surplus to requirement and the transfer fee and wages would be needed to balance the books. Plus those 2 are a significant upgrade on Kolo

With the financial fairplay rulings coming in we can't have guys on these wages sitting in the reserves, things have to change.

Anyway latest is that Turkish teams manager has apparently confirmed that they've been in talks for two days

Fully agree also we lose him in January so best to get off wage bill only if we buy a new CB

We need another center half, no way we can trust Savic.

And Silva signed for PSG FCUK :(

Hummels anyone?

There are no real A-list centre backs available now with Silva going to PSG, Hummels signed new contract and unlike Milan, Dortmund under no pressure/need to sell. Maybe we will instead look for a next big thing again after the Savic failure, someone like Dede. Or go for proven quality, Agger would be a good signing.

If I'm honest, I like Kolo and it's hardly as if he's a liability is it.
He's always shown loyalty to the club and not complained when sidelined. Is their any sibling rivalry stuff going on? And does this coincide with Yaya committing to us?
I don't know obviously Blues, just putting it out there.

Personally I think we should sign someone proven in the Premier League (IF Kolo goes), my choices would be

Hangeland - Cheap, proven and solid.

Jagielka - Good player, can play RB as well, proven partnership with Lescott. Could get fairly cheap. (Best option IMO)

Dunne - Mainly for sentimental reasons but he could definitely do a job as 3rd/4th choice CB.

Coloccini - Expensive but a very good CB, would provide serious competition with Lescott. Add to the Argentinians.

Shawcross - Good CB and brave. No doubt Stoke would demand some inflated price but again, for 3rd choice he would be alright.

Or if we are willing to splash the cash then surely Martinez is the best option.

Hummels not a goer but 2 that spring to mind are Subotic and Howedes. After these 2 I wouldn't touch anyone.

If the Turkish club have disclosed they are in talks then that suggests to me they are not going well.

Could only see Martinez being good enough to improve City from the above players.

The rest are decent players but I feel they would be a couple of levels below were City are now.

We must only buy if it improves our squad. With Mancini signing a five year contract I am sure he must have had his vision for the club approved from those above and its definitely going to be interesting who leaves/joins.
