I don't think he has mate, I was probably a bit quick off the mark. I think Pellegrini has said he could be back in a couple of days. Has to be 50-50 I would think.

Vincent our legend. The man deserves nothing but our support and he will get it.
Kompany being injured should not be a problem, it's about time these players got a grip and started destroying teams, they should adapt themselves and show some flipping guts, but I think we have a part to play especially Sunday, let's get behind them and get some atmosphere going, because last night felt like a wake!

The media focus is always on Vinny's injuries , maybe the club should have spent the £70m or £80m we have spent on centre backs more wisely , and the situation regarding Vinny wouldnt be the headline news ,and the media could instead talk / comment on our historic run in the champs league.

Support, loyalty, he'll get them all from those who have seen the impact this man has had over the last 7 years, however, let's not kid ourselves here, this doesn't look like going away and we as a club, wouldn't be doing him any favours with this continued over reliance..... The mans a bonafide legend as far as I'm concerned but sometimes thoroughbreds need to go to stud, Pep, incase people are unaware, is a ruthless motherfucker, he'll give vinny 12 months in my opinion, regular reoccurrences will see vinny for the chop!!!

Aye. Pretty much how I see it. TBH mate, it's the same with a lot of the 11/12 legends who are still at the club. How many can you say hand on heart will still be City players going into the start of Pep's 2nd season at City?

Kompany's continuing calf injuries issues must be devastating for the man, it's so unfair on him and so unfortunate for the club. When he's fit and on the pitch he's our best defender by a distance, he's a leader and he makes those around him step up and perform better too.
The issue we have here is that Kompany seems incapable of staying fit and available for more than a handful of games at a time before something in his calf fails on him and he misses months rather than weeks. City simply can't afford to rely so heavily on a player who is so unreliable physically. You have to look at the injury record, and you have to consider his age (almost 30) and then you have to make a judgement, can we afford to go into next season with 4 centre halves, one of which is Kompany? Sentimentality says we should keep him, but there's no place for that in modern football unfortunately. The medical staff clearly have no idea what is wrong with his calf or why it keeps going, or they do know and there's nothing that can be done to prevent it. In either scenario the only logical outcome to expect is recurring calf injuries going forward and large periods of time out of action. It's a sad situation for all concerned but I honestly feel it's now reached the time for City to build a defensive setup that doesn't involve Kompany.

That's all I want tbh - for certain players to be given at least a season under Pep.
