Big news for quite a few players, they needed 28/56 votes to be UEFA recognised and apparently they got 28 yes votes, 26 no and 2 abstained. Albania, Switzerland and a couple of other countries will now be worried because there is quite a few of their players that can choose to represent Kosovo because they were not official when they chose to represent their teams.

The Xhaka brothers, Shaqiri, Januzaj and a lot of the Albanian team that have qualified for the Euro's can change allegiance. Plus our very own Bersant Celina can now play officially for Kosovo. Great news for them, they could actually have a very decent team.

I was told Bersant considers himself Kosovar, they would some pretty good players if the others make the swap. Xhaka, Celina and Shaqiri could be the spine of a decent midfield in the future.

Considering the country we live in is Great Britain, of course Kosovo should be a country that can be represented in football if England Scotland and Wales can be.

Great. Another pissant gangster state to clutter up qualification groups.

Whenever a new country is recognised there are three things the new government prioritise - a currency, a national airline and a national football team. I guess a system of local government, social security, national healthcare and utilities come later?!

They're playing now, but Celina has just been sent off on his international debut, currently winning 1-0 against the Faroes.
