... has joined Middlesborough. Surprised a lower table Premier League team didn't go for him. Okay he has been playing in the wank SPL but has also put a few away for Scotland.

Reckon he could be a big success at that level, not sure about Premier League though (another Chopra or more success?).

What will be interesting is to see Boyd and Scott McDonald in a partnership. These 2 were the top strikers in the SPL over the last 2/3 years so lets see if they can do well in the Championship and then if they get there, if they can do it in the PL. I can see 'em both doing alright in the Championship, but then McDonald struggling in the PL with Boyd doing what Steven Fletcher did last year for Burnley, which wasn't a lot but was ok in a poor side.

They have certainly got goals in their team now with Boyd and McDonald. I can see them coming up this year. Usually teams with big scorers come up out of the championship

You could hardly call it his scouting system. He's got about 5 players from the Old Firm because of one simple fact - he bought several of his favourites from Celtic immediately after swapping clubs. There was no scouting involved, he just swiped the ones he already had managed.

You could hardly call it his scouting system. He's got about 5 players from the Old Firm because of one simple fact - he bought several of his favourites from Celtic immediately after swapping clubs. There was no scouting involved, he just swiped the ones he already had managed.

These were also players that couldnt make the first team after he left as well
