You would be. To be fully immersed in another language where you hear it spoken in the workplace, you would become conversant in the language within 6 months. You would be able to understand everything after 18 months and be at conversational level within 2 years. After 8 years you would definitely be a fluent speaker given the above conditions are maintained. The problem Kun has had is that his mates are all Spanish speakers and so away from football (and much of the time in the club) he only has to speak Spanish. It's a dream job being a footballer in that you get paid handsomely whilst having the chance to experience and learn another culture and language which will benefit you for the rest of your life.Exactly, he should be flying with it by now. If I'd been in Argentina for eight years I'd have hoped to be fluent in that lingo by now. But as long as he continues to do his talking with his feet, who gives a fuck hey?
