Poor again yesterday. Thankfully we have another option that Pep will actually play now (right??) so Walker can spend a good few weeks on the bench.

He is so fast!

Good in the CL and just as good again today. Cross-field passes, chest passes over the opponent’s head, who is this guy?

He'll keep that RB position for some time yet. Cancelo looks pretty nervous when he comes in. Still not ready.

He deserves a bit of credit. Very little of Everton's attacks came down his side. And no fuck ups either. Plus one great cross.

Played quite well today, him and Mahrez (with de Bruyne) are so much better than the other side of the pitch.

Walker is excellent at creating passing space for his teammates. You can see where Zinchenko doesn’t have this on the other side that Sterling isn’t a player who can do excellent things on the left as he doesn’t get the space to do it. He needs Mendy over there with him big time!

That right side is so balanced in attack and defense right now. You can see our entire build up in attack relies on it, Pep needs to fix the other side.

I don't really mind that Walker now gets to rest during international breaks but Southgate leaving him out of the last England squad to just "take a look at" other options, and now not calling him back up this time around because he didn't want to make a change from that seems really unfair on Kyle. Managers need to make tough calls sometimes with their selections, but this whole "not dropping him but dropping him" thing Southgate is trying to do here feels a little distasteful.
