Highly likely this is another news story to unsettle our players. The red shirts know we’ve got them in a tricky position and walker is an obvious target. However the rumours are flown by and it would be nice to have our name cleared

Utter nonsense. Are we really expected to believe that after the Arsenal game half the squad said to Pep, it is ok we will make our own way home, he said fine, and they then went to a party in London, currently the COVID capital of the world, and that Sancho flew in for good measure. If that were true we would deservedly forfeit the points, but it just isn’t.

I would only guess but given Jesus, Cancelo, Ederson, Gabriel I imagine, potentially, some sort of Portuguese speaking gathering has gone down. Maybe.

Not sure how accurate the rumours are about who the unnamed infected players are. Sam Lee has said he knows who the infected players are but obviously can't reveal who unless the club and players want to say. He did say last night though that he thinks Cancelo is ok for Sunday so I doubt he's one of them.

That can be explained by the fact that they hang out a fair bit in training, probably sit together in the cafeteria. Doubt it points to a gathering.

I think they all sit next to each other in the dressing room as well. That's all it would take.

I don’t think it happened, but even if it did it would have been 20 or so adult football players doing something that their clubs didn’t know about in their own personal time and space.
How could it possibly be construed that City could be held responsible in any way?
How could the FA or whoever deem it fit to dock points for something without the clubs control or authority?
Similarly, if it were true and if Sancho did attend nobody would think that his club should be docked points.

IMO it’s nothing more than a mendacious story on twitter from a well dodgy source.
My feeling is that if it had any legs then the tabloids would be all over it like a rash.
They’ll certainly have heard about it, it’s great click bait so they’d love it to be true, but they obviously can’t find any substantiation whatsoever or it would already be headlines.

If, on the other hand, there were to be an outbreak of cases due to City not maintaining reasonable covid protocols in the workplace then ok that would be City’s fault but that’s not even been hinted at.

PS. Also, if it is true then why wasn’t I invited!

The fact Walker has not responded confirms it didnt happen , why should he come out and make a statement of denial because some Rag/Dipper pleb on social media who has taken time from Pornhub to start a rumour.

Plenty of journalists are aware of the rumours too and know there's nothing to report. There are some extremely divorced United fans on twitter hassling the likes of Mullock and Sam Lee to "do their job" and being met with the eye rolls they deserve.
