Why do people believe the Saudis would pay him €700m?

And this whole it is just for one year claim. So they'd pay supposedly €300m to buy him off PSG, pay him €700m, and in a year watch him on the tv at Real Madrid with nothing to show for a 1bn investment? Aye ok.

I can easily see him being an ambassador for the country's activities (e.g tourism) as well. I can't see it just being limited to footballing reasons - it'll be much more than that.

Unfortunately yes. Think in time a revamped Club World Cup will take over the CL and the European Super League will come back to slowly swallow domestic competition. Its all a bit shit to be honest

His buy out is €200m anyway so €250m isn’t a huge overpay really when a rumoured 4 PL teams are sniffing. They’ve effectively taken everyone else out the game with that bid.
