Very scary at times and IMO the reason behind all the sideways, and backwards passing in order to simply retain the ball today. I read in all the training reports from DH et al that Mancini works on defensive movement and formation, fair enough we have improved that side of our game but it seems as though it really has been at the expense of any forward incisive play. I trust in Mancini though to sort it out, if I can see it then lord knows he can. Surely...

Totally agree. Like I said in a previous post this might not be Utds strongest team but you can bet they will always pass and move for each other both going forward and tracking back. While O'gay, Park and Fletcher are a million miles away from world class status they play to the system that has proven so successfully over the past 10 years....yet its so basic...pass, move and support.

We need to work more on pushing their offence off the ball before they get to the 18 yard box though.

We defend too deep, whereas if you look at shite and other opponents they will try and get you off the ball in the midfield. For some reason we are standing off offensive players too much for my liking.

Whenever we went on the break, most of the players were at walking pace and weren't exactly looking for room. It looked like they were afraid to attack to me.
