The batsmen are past it.
Only Horton and Croft have given a good account of themselves in the one day game with the Salix, and Horton in 4 day cricket. The bowling had been okay but Keedy's bowling has lacked bite compared to opposition spinners on the same wicket.
Keedy, Chilton, Law and Loye may not play next season, Cork and Sutcliffe certainly won't. Hodge as an overseas player also help destablise us when he wants out as soon as an IPL offer came in.
The future is Newby, Smith, Cross, Croft, Horton, Saj and Hogg. Thefefore we need to sign a couple of new batsmen to replace the old guys.

Fair enough I thought we were talking about now. I went to the Pro 40 game against Worcester recently with my lad. Reduced to 25 overs because of the rain which never helps our cause, we were shit got bowled out for 84 and lost by a truck load. We are currently mid table in the Championship, bottom of the Pro 40 good job it's going soon, and next to bottom of the Friends Provident Trophy North. Consolation my lad went to school with Jimmy!!
