I have a laptop with c and d drives and c filled up and so couldn't load anything on, whilst d was almost empty.

Have copied and pasted everything over so it has freed up space. However, I heard you can not transfer main programs etc.

So two questions:-

Can I transfer a program like i-tunes over?

How do I get things to save directly to the d drive in future so as not to fill c again?

Cheers, blues.

I'm afraid that you would have to re-install iTunes...

However, it could suffice if you just moved its library over to D: (the app itself doesn't take up too much space), I think you can do that somewhere under the Settings...

As per the future installs, just create "D:\Programs" and when you install new apps, point the install location there instead of the default "c:\Program Files" or whatever.

I find the fastest way is to move Docs and Settings to D Drive, open start menu
right click on My Documents and Move to D Drive if you have a lot of Documents e.g pics music videos It will free up a lot of space on your C drive

I tried this in the past and gave up as, itunes, even after I changed the settings to D defaulted to C . If you do manage to do it please post, as I have the same problem.

Don't know if you have sorted this as you posted in Feb. Get hold of a copy of Partition Magic. Once it is installed you can merge the C: and D: partitions to create one partition C:
