Had an attack on my laptop a couple of days ago. One where it says 'You have a virus, click on this to get rid' etc....it wouldn't let me open my security (The free Microsoft thingy I was advised on here it was good!Lol) or other programmes without keep getting these messages.

Managed to open in 'safe mode' and do a system restore to an earlier date.
It appears to have rid of it, but I'm not certain, as a couple of things don't seem right....for instance, when I come on BM, or go on Facebook or other regular sites, I continually now have to keep logging in....despite checking the 'keep me logged in' boxes...

Any ideas Tech Heads?

Run that and install nod32 instead of whatever antivir you already have.
Malwarebytes is good also.

What did the program say when it finished ?

spybot search and destroy is ok for getting rid of a lot of adware like popups etc also worth having a scan with that once a month.

Combofix is generally for pretty severe stuff.
