Laptop problems

The wifes laptop keeps overheating and turning itself off, any ideas ?
 
It will need the cpu fan & probably ventilation hole clearing of dust\crap. Definately one of those that you shouldn't try at home as stripping laptops and putting them back together can be a fine art. Try and ask a mate or find someone who can do it. You will need some compressed air, but don't be tempted to just blow compressed air into the ventilation hole as this will just send the dust into the cpu fan and make the problem worse.
