Laptop switching off

Anybody got any ideas why it does this and what to do about it ??? Its driving me up the wall. Defragged it, got rid of all the stuff I dont use etc and makes no difference, the bloody thing switches off and I have to reboot the contraption, its not even 12 mth old !!

Sounds like a daft question but does it switch off when you are using it, or when it's on but you aren't 'clicking' ?

If it's when you are not using it, you could have something daft set in the power management tools to turn it off after 5 mins of non-use.

Have a look in 'Power Options' in Control Panel...

Could be a faulty battery, check it's not become slightly unclipped from the underside of your laptop.

How do I insert photo on posts ?

Yes, I know theres already a thread on this one but couldn't find instructions on how to insert a photo from my own picture file (ie its not on the web), any help would be appreciated.

Upload to a site like;

http://www.imageshack.us

Then take either their pre tagged link which will say hotlink for forums, or take the "direct link to image" and put it in between these with no spaces.
