Two games I was there must rank up there if not the top. Stoke away on boxing Day, the fancy dress game. 12,000 was the official figure. The Blackburn promotion game must have been close or more but impossible to tell due to the large amount of Blues in their ends. We officially sold out the our end behind the goal. I was in the Blackburn end opposite but we were all over the ground that day, the thousands on the pitch at the end gives some indication.

Newcastle 77, was that the 3 1? I was there that day and no way would I say there were as many as 10k there. Leeds away in the 70s was always a huge following, about 3 times more than they used to bring to Maine Road

Not the most but the furthest, almost 8,000 all the way to Vienna for the ECWC final 1970.

Not the largest away following but a large number of blues attended Hamburg for a friendly in 2002.

Blues everywhere that day. It was packed behind the goal and i'll always remember Whiteside giving us the wanker sign after he scored at our end and the coolcats in the paddock climbing the fences to get at the scum.

We had 25% of old Trafford as per FA cap rules and it was 14,000 but more were walked around the pitch. I also remember the Guvnors jumping up attacking reds above them near the corner flag and then a big kick off at the segregation in the seats at full time.

I was at all those as well as the utd 0-1 in K stand. Great days.
My favourite was the Notts County game.
Boozing in Chesterfield waving at all the City coaches driving past made it a fantastic day apart from the performance. As said the following home game versus Charlton made up for that.

[Scaring Europe to Death]

The 2-0 win at Stoke in 76-77 deserves a mention, especially as the attendance was 15,000 higher than their next home game.
