Peterloo. Very powerful. Historical event films are difficult to dramatise. But this manages to portray the events leading up to Peterloo in an accessible manner. It was little difficult for me watching Shameless and Early door actors as I half expected a Franķ Gallagher to turn up.
A must really for any self respecting Manc.

Melissa McCarthy became very tedious very quick to. There is only so much fat lady falling over gags with added shouting you can do before it gets tedious.
I wish your friend the best, it is an intoxicating lifestyle to get away from. I had a mad 2 weeks once in company of live fast and burn out types. I was the same but the difference was they all seemed to have the sort of cash down the back of the sofa that i will be lucky to earn in my life. It seems like great fun, some of the mad as fuck parties that happen just for the fuck of it. One of my good pals has come back from some right dark places over the last 12 months, done his duty treading the boards, engulfed himself in the whole lovey west end scene, been on the edge of breaking through, only to dawn on him that the lifestyle can become unsustainable..... sorted his napper out, recently nominated for an Olivier award and outside of natural allegiances to him, he’ll become the star I always thought he’d be... it’s a slippery slope that acting game, you need more than natural talent sometimes!!!

A few years earlier i was the private cocktail barman doing a chuff chuff's private for Miss Moneypenny's. Everyone was so coked out they just bought bottles of water with 50's and let you keep the change, that was my other glimpse into the world of people who seem to be mega rich from darn sarf. I did find enough sniff to start my own empire though that night, tips were decent to, about 700 quid. I even got tipped to do a fat line of some generous soul.

It’s an interesting subculture, especially to someone like me who over analyses everything. I just find it all so engrossing, fine margins and all that.... demons don’t discriminate, human beings are a weird bunch, I just love seeing people succeed against the odds I guess....
